Leandra
La Greca
Ms. La Greca initiated her Flamenco studies
at the age of seven with Olivia Rojo of Flamenco y Mas
in Tucson, Arizona. She then continued to train intensively
with top artists from the United States and Spain including
La Conja, Jose Molina, Juana Amaya, Domingo Ortega,
Andres Marin, and Eva La Yerbabuena. In 1995, she joined
Bailes Ferrer, and has since worked in numerous productions
as a featured dancer. La Greca has also worked with
companies such as La Conja’s Mimbre y Vareta Flamenco
Ensemble, and the National Theatre for the Performing
Arts troupe Cuadro Flamenco, with which she toured for
two seasons. As a guest artist, La Greca has performed
in various events such as Michigan’s International
Festival of World Music and Dance, and the show Shradhanjali,
held in London to aid the Imran Khan Cancer Society.
Other notable work includes the show Fusion of Indian
Classical Music and Flamenco Music & Dance Concert,
and palmas and footwork for V.0, the latest CD by Grammy
nominated Scottish band, The Rogues.
